About

Elderberry is the dark fruit of the elder, Sambucus nigra, used in Belgian lambic brewing for colour and a tart fruit note. The multilingual label of Mort Subite Original Kriek names it beside the cherries, "12% krieken en vlierbessen / 12% cerises et sureaux / 12% cherries and elderberries", as the fruit added to the lambic.[1]
