About

Condensed milk is cow's milk from which most of the water has been removed and to which sugar has usually been added, giving a thick, very sweet product that keeps for years unopened.[1] Confectioners use it for toffee, fudge and caramel, where it supplies both the milk solids and part of the sugar; the Poppets Toffee carton photographed in 2022 listed it third, as "Full Cream Sweetened Condensed MILK (Whole MILK, Sugar)".[2] The skimmed version is a separate page here, ingredient/condensed-skimmed-milk, and is what the current Poppets label declares.[3]
