Qualità Oro

Lavazza · product family

About

Qualità Oro is the oldest blend in the Lavazza range, born in 1956 and, as the company tells it, handed down from father to son for seventy years.[1] It is a blend of 100% Arabica coffees from Central and South America, medium roasted, dark in the cup with a velvety body and floral and fruity notes, which Lavazza rates 5 out of 10 for intensity and sells for moka pot and filter brewing.[1] The line is one of Lavazza's principal ranges alongside Qualità Rossa, Crema e Gusto and Espresso Italiano, and appears as ground coffee, whole beans and capsules.[2] The name is Italian for "gold quality" and the packs are gold throughout, the ground coffee being sold both in a vacuum brick and in the 250 g tin catalogued here.[3]
