Stabburet Kyllingpostei is a mild chicken pâté sold in a yellow 100 g tin, made in Norway by Orkla Foods Norge beside the Stabburet liver pâtés.[^slp-prod][^off-back-2022] Unlike the pork-based Leverpostei, it is made from 27 % chicken liver and 23 % mechanically separated chicken, with wheat flour, rapeseed oil, milk protein and anchovy.[^slp-prod] The lid carries the green Keyhole symbol and the flash "Naturlig rik på jern"; the maker gives 4,5 mg of iron per 100 g, 32 % of the reference intake.[^off-front-2024][^slp-prod] The barcode side prints the Kolbotn contact block of Orkla Foods Norge and the oval identification mark NORGE 359 EFTA of the approved Norwegian establishment.[^off-back-2022] Norwegian grocery chains including Meny, SPAR, Bunnpris and Joker list it.[^kassal]
The recipe has changed since the tin was photographed in December 2022: carrageenan, locust bean gum and yeast extract have given way to agar and guar gum, glukose is now written druesukker, and the maker's figures of 141 kcal and 10 g protein per 100 g replace the 134 kcal and 9,0 g on the older tin.[^off-panel-2022][^slp-prod] Stabburet itself belongs to Orkla Foods.[^wikipedia] The maker lists the tin among its leverpostei products, and a Norwegian export shop that sells it abroad gives Norway as its country of origin.[^slp][^norbites]
