It is not a printed barcode: it is the twelve-digit UPC 051000000118 with its check digit dropped and zero-padded to thirteen, which is exactly how Kroger and its banners form catalogue ids (proved on a second article: kroger.com/p/campbell-s-condensed-chicken-noodle-soup/0005100001251 is the real UPC 051000012517). The archived 2009 Barcodepedia page for 005100000011 says it came from upcdatabase.com, and the Open Food Facts record at that number is a single-contributor stub with one ingredients photo. I skipped the row with that reason and built the real barcode instead. Confirmation that 0051000000118 is the pack: the Open Food Facts nutrition photograph of 2026-08-04 shows the barcode printed on the can as 0 51000 00011 8; campbells.com carries the product id 00051000000118 in its markup; Target lists UPC 051000000118 in its specifications; the USDA GDSN record sits on the same number. **What is in the entry.** Two label generations kept as separate observations: the current US label (tomato puree, water, wheat flour, sugar, then the under-2% group with potassium salt) from the maker's published statement and the USDA GDSN record, and the earlier one photographed 2022-10-06 (high fructose corn syrup, potassium chloride, monopotassium phosphate), with `until` set to the photo date and a note saying the real change date is not published.
