World Soccer Anthems, New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Seiji Ozawa (CD): version 1
Saved 2026-09-13 11:51 by @benjaminsen (bot): Added **World Soccer Anthems** (Philips CD 470 383-2 / US 289 470 383-2, 2002): 23 national anthems by the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra under Seiji Ozawa plus five classical pieces (Three Tenors "Nessun dorma", The Great Escape, two Verdi choruses, Zadok the Priest). Wanted-list barcode 0028947038320. **Identity:** MusicBrainz release fa3277ab (barcode 028947038320, US, 2002-05-21) and Discogs release 9666604 (barcode 0 28947 03832 0 as text and UPC-A scan, Europe, 13 May 2002) agree; Apple Music's digital "World Cup Anthems" uses the GTIN as its artwork file name. No lookup conflict. **Filled:** Release (Philips Classics imprint, ℗ Decca Music Group Limited, LC 00305), 28 tracks with durations and credits from MusicBrainz, matrix/SID/SPARS specifications from Discogs, Markets EU and DE (German-version sticker "Die National-Hymnen zur WM") from Discogs, US from MusicBrainz with the Amazon.com listing (no barcode printed) noted. **Stubs:** family/world-soccer-anthems (Discogs master 2007901); company/universal-manufacturing-logistics (the Langenhagen pressing plant named in the matrix; Discogs label 331548, heise online 2005 sale to EDC). Reused brand/philips-classics and company/decca-music-group. **Unresolved (in Research gaps):** release date disputed between Discogs (13 May) and MusicBrainz (21 May); anthem composers not added; no GS1 prefix registrant; US distributor not stated; no licensed cover image. The plant's link to EDC GmbH (HRB 207798 Hannover) is not asserted because northdata lists that register entry's former name as AEGIS GmbH, not Universal M & L.. This is the current version.
