Quasi-chocolate (準チョコレート) is a Japanese class of chocolate confectionery: a product using at least 60 % quasi-chocolate base, which has less cocoa than chocolate base, as against "chocolate", which uses at least 60 % chocolate base; the Ministry of Agriculture describes it as milder in cocoa flavour and often combined with baked goods.[^maff] It is the coating named first in the ingredient list of KitKat Mini Uji Matcha.[^packback]
