Milk from cows, used as the base of drinks such as chocolate milk and as an ingredient across dairy and bakery products. Milk and products thereof, including lactose, are listed in Annex II of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 among the substances that must be declared as allergens, which is why the word is emphasised on European labels.[^eu-fic] Danish labels follow that rule by setting it in capitals, as on the Cocio Classic bottle whose statement opens with MÆLK med 2% mælkefedt, giving both the ingredient and its fat content.[^arla-datasheet]
