Caramel as an ingredient name is the cooked sugar and glucose layer of a filled confectionery bar, not the colouring of the same name, which is the separate entity caramel colour. On the Ukrainian label of the Mars 70 g twin pack caramel is declared as a 27% component made of glucose syrup, sugar, skimmed milk powder, sunflower oil, milk fat, lactose, milk permeate, salt and palm oil.[^listex] The European statement of the same bar declares "Karamell" at the same 27%.[^off-ing-de]
