## About <!--about-->
Kellogg's Corn Flakes are the toasted maize flakes that started the Kellogg Company.[^wikipedia-kellogg-s] The flaking process was found at the Battle Creek Sanitarium in 1894, when a batch of wheat-berry dough left overnight was sent through rollers, and a patent for flaked cereals was issued to John Harvey Kellogg in 1896.[^wikipedia-corn-flakes] W. K. Kellogg marketed the product as Kellogg's Toasted Corn Flakes, and by 1909 his company produced 120,000 cases a day.[^wikipedia-kellogg-s] Current European cartons print "The Original Since 1906" on the front.[^pack]
