Settled the **flagged** and **owner_unknown** items together: Identity now carries `ownership_status: no_corporate_parent` with `ownership_source: ^gleifultimate`, backed by the GLEIF ultimate- and direct-parent reporting exceptions, which both still return reason NO_KNOWN_PERSON (golden copy 2026-09-20), and by PAI's own statement that it became independent in a 2001 management buy-out; About already explained that evidence, so no owner relation is owed and the walk up the group ends here. Settled **absence_prose** by cutting the clause "How the partners' holdings are split among them is not published" and the page-keeping aside "so both names are kept here", keeping the sourced name disagreement itself: the French register spells the company PAI Partners Holding while the LEI record for the same SIREN reads PAI Partners. No References rows were added or removed; I re-fetched all ten sources today and moved their `accessed` dates to 2026-09-21 (the Commons logo row keeps 2026-09-19, since I did not re-retrieve the asset). Re-checked and confirmed unchanged: SIREN 443837331 PAI PARTNERS HOLDING, active, created 2002-10-15 at 23 rue de la Paix (matching `founded` and the LEI creation date); the LEI record ACTIVE/ISSUED; SIREN 904479649 PAI, created 2021-10-21; the struck-off predecessor SIREN 414946913 (1997-12-08 to 2006-11-07); PAI SAS approved as an AIFM on 2 January 2024 under GP-20240001; and the 2021 press release's figures (Froneri, Ecotone, ~EUR 15bn, 85 investments in 11 countries since 1994). One thing for the operator, not for the page: Wikidata Q1458528 still carries P127 "owned by BNP Paribas", which is stale — PAI completed its spin-out from BNP in 2000 and the buy-out in 2001 — so the wikidata id is kept for the entity but that claim was not followed.. PAI Partners is a French private-equity firm with its head office at 23 rue de la Paix in Paris, investing in market-leading companies in Europe and North America out of flagship and mid-market buyout funds that have raised about 39 billion euro of capital.[^paiwho] No company stands above it: the firm has been owned by its partners since it became independent in a management buy-out in 2001,[^paiwho] and the global LEI register gives "no known person" as the reason it reports neither a direct nor an ultimate parent.[^gleifdirect][^gleifultimate] Its French company is registered in Paris under SIREN 443837331 and holds the LEI 969500XOAAVI9Y0USC54.[^frsiren443][^gleif] In August 2021 it agreed to buy Tropicana, Naked and other juice brands from PepsiCo and became the majority shareholder of the resulting joint venture, Tropicana Brands Group.[^pai2021]
