Nokia Oyj is the Finnish telecommunications, information technology and consumer electronics company registered under Finnish business identity code 0112038-9, with its legal seat and headquarters at Karakaari 7 in Espoo and LEI 549300A0JPRWG1KI7U06; the GLEIF record dates the legal entity to 18 December 1896 and gives Nokia Corporation and Nokia Abp as its English and Swedish legal names.[^gleif-nokia] It is on this site as the company at the top of the group above Compagnie Générale d'Électricité: Nokia completed its acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent, the company that C.G.E. had become through its successive renamings, on 3 November 2016, retired the brand and merged it into its Nokia Networks division.[^wiki-alu]
