The queue item is settled as far as sources allow: the prefix stays in gs1_prefixes_inferred because no source naming its licensee exists. What was searched is now in About - GS1's own GDSN trading-partner list (find=9310246 matches nothing; find=Metcash gives four Metcash GLNs, all 9377778/9377779, so the GS1 membership is this entity's but the block is not sourced), Metcash's supplier packaging/barcode/logistics specification (explains GS1 company prefixes, never states its own), GLEIF and the ABR (no prefix fields), and web searches for the digits against Metcash, IGA and Community Co. The inference basis was re-read and re-dated: 100 of the 236 Open Food Facts rows under the block on 2026-09-17, 23 of them Metcash private label, 73 unbranded, four other brands including one Coles own label that looks like a contributor slip - the old About's 'first thirty packs, every named brand a Metcash private label' no longer holds and was replaced. Corrected from the register: ABN Lookup's dated entity-name history shows Davids Limited until 2000-10-10, Metcash Trading Limited until 2025-10-14, and Metcash Trading Pty Ltd since, so legal_name becomes Metcash Trading Pty Ltd, the former names become dated legal aliases, and About records that GLEIF (renewed Dec 2025) still carries the old name. Newly sourced: AU-ABN:61000031569 in register_ids, founded 1935-12-13 and the earlier legal names A.G. Campbell Pty Ltd and Davids Holdings from GLEIF, and ABR confirmation that 'Metcash Trading Limited Australasia' (the name in the GS1 list) is this company's registered trading name from 2000-10-23, which is why the inferred prefix stays on this entity rather than moving to a sister company. New References rows: abr, abrhist, gleiffull (replacing gleifmtl, whose LEI/ACN facts it carries and which was cited nowhere), metcashspec and fsanz; offblock's URL now matches the query actually fetched. The owned_by company/metcash row was re-verified against GLEIF's direct-parent endpoint today and is unchanged. Unresolved and flagged in About: the licensee of 9310246, and the fact that Community Co recalls are conducted by a sister company, Metcash Food & Grocery Pty Ltd, so the private-label operator and the GS1 data-pool member are different group companies.. Metcash Trading Pty Ltd is the operating company of the Australian wholesale group Metcash and the entity GS1 lists as its GDSN data-pool member, appearing in GS1's own trading-partner list as "Metcash Trading Limited Australasia" and, for the supermarket banner, as "(IGA) Metcash Trading Limited Australasia".[^gs1gdsn] The Australian Business Register carries that same trading name against ABN 61 000 031 569, registered on 23 October 2000, with ASIC company number 000 031 569 and a main business location in postcode 2113, Macquarie Park in Sydney; the company also holds the banner business names Supa IGA, Everyday IGA, IGA Shop Online and Fast Moving Media.[^abr] GLEIF holds it under LEI 254900EY3ABA2AY9KC62 and names Metcash Limited as both its direct and its ultimate parent.[^gleifparent]
