Del Monte Foods was an American producer and distributor of branded and private-label processed food, headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, with a portfolio that included the Del Monte, S&W, Contadina, Joyba and Take Root brands.[^wp-del-monte-foods] It held the rights to the Del Monte brand in the United States and licensed the name to other companies around the world, which is the tie to brand/del-monte, where it is recorded as the former owner.[^wp-del-monte-foods]
