Carlsberg A/S, trading as the Carlsberg Group, is the Danish brewing group behind Carlsberg, Tuborg and a broad international beer and soft-drink portfolio. Its original brewery in Valby, Copenhagen was founded by J.C. Jacobsen on 10 November 1847, and Carlsberg merged with the other leading Danish brewery, Tuborg, in 1970; the group has owned the Wiibroe brewery in North Zealand since 1964.
