Carlsberg A/S, trading as the Carlsberg Group, is the Danish brewing group behind Carlsberg, Tuborg and a broad international beer and soft-drink portfolio. Its original brewery in Valby, Copenhagen was founded by J.C. Jacobsen on 10 November 1847, and Carlsberg merged with the other leading Danish brewery, Tuborg, in 1970; the group has owned the Wiibroe brewery in North Zealand since 1964. Its Danish operating company, Carlsberg Danmark, became a wholly owned subsidiary in 2000, and group headquarters remain in Copenhagen.[1] The group is registered in Denmark under CVR number 61056416 and carries LEI 5299001O0WJQYB5GYZ19.[2]
