Everything it asserted is correct and unchanged: the live GPC node confirms code 64000000, level 1, which is a segment, no parent, and the title Personal Accessories. Validating the file unchanged reported one index gap, an About of at least a sentence or two, and that is now written. This node carries no definition, and neither does its family nor any of its four classes, so the convention of quoting the GPC definition and adding an Excludes heading did not apply and nothing was invented in its place. Personal Accessories is one of the top-level segments of the GS1 Global Product Classification, the scheme this site uses to file a product by what it is. It sits at the root of the hierarchy, with no parent above it, and gathers the things carried or worn about the person that are neither clothing nor footwear: jewellery and watches, bags and luggage, umbrellas, wallets and the small articles that go with them.[^gpc]
The segment holds a single family, also called Personal Accessories, which divides into four classes. Jewellery has thirteen bricks, mostly one per kind of article - anklets, bracelets, brooches, cuff-links, earrings and body-piercing jewellery, necklaces and necklets, pendants, rings and tiaras - along with jewellery boxes and pouches, replacement parts such as clasps and chain links, and the usual other and variety-pack bricks.
