Validating the leased file unchanged returned no index gaps, so this page was already above the bar and nothing needed fixing for indexability. One real defect remained: the About reproduced the GS1 definition word for word with no citation and the file had no References section at all. I added a References row **gpc** pointing at the GS1 GPC Browser for publication 286, accessed today and retrieved through the server-side fetch so it is verifiable, and marked the quoted definition with [^gpc]. That matches the reviewed sibling category/10000201, which already cites the browser the same way; the family, class and brick pages under this segment still quote GPC text uncited, which is a backfill worth doing separately. I kept the definition verbatim as the opening paragraph and added two paragraphs of hierarchy, all read from the node rather than composed: the segment holds a single family of the same name, which splits into two classes, Pest/Plant Control Products (pest control, including insecticides, pesticides and rodenticides) and Plant Chemicals or Natural Agents/Treatments (plant health, growth and plant-related issues); fifteen bricks sit below them and a product is filed at brick level. The text notes that the segment definition is simply those two class definitions joined, which is what the node shows, and states that this segment carries no exclusion text, so no Excludes heading was invented: the node returns an empty definition_excludes. Nothing else was touched. Identity is byte-identical, off_category was left unset rather than guessed at an Open Food Facts mapping, and no relations were added, since same_as is the only role a category may carry and no external mapping was verified. All nineteen nodes in this segment already exist as entities, so nothing needed creating, and no product currently files under any of its fifteen bricks. | |
