Pepsodent is an oral care brand introduced in the United States in 1915 by the Pepsodent Company of Chicago, whose name came from the pepsin in its original paste; its "you'll wonder where the yellow went" campaign made it one of the best known toothpastes in the world before the mid-1950s, when rivals added fluoride first and its sales fell away.[^wikipepsodent] Unilever acquired the company in the 1940s and still owns the brand in every market except the United States and Canada, where Church & Dwight bought the rights in 2003; it is sold as P/S in Vietnam.[^wikipepsodent] In the Nordics the red-on-white Pepsodent wordmark signs a full oral care range, the fluoride paste Super Fluor among them.[^offfront]
