Zuckerraffinerie Tangermünde Fr. Meyers Sohn Holding GmbH is the Hamburg holding company at the top of the food group that trades as Zertus. Its register entry at Amtsgericht Hamburg, HRB 53809, gives its seat as Zirkusweg (Astraturm) 2, 20359 Hamburg, and its purpose as the acquisition and management of shareholdings at home and abroad, in particular of ZERTUS GmbH.^[1] It draws up the consolidated accounts for the group, most recently for the year to 31 December 2024, which report a turnover of €590.4 million and 2,250 employees.^[1][2] No company stands above it: its capital is spread over many corporate shareholders rather than one parent, and the consolidated report published in February 2019 named 18 of them, among them the Hamburg forwarding house Fr. Meyer's Sohn.^[1]

In its LEI record ZERTUS GmbH, whose shares this company holds, reports its ultimate accounting-consolidation parent under the exception NO_LEI, an entity that carries no LEI of its own.^[3] The name comes from the sugar refinery founded in Tangermünde in 1826 by Friedrich Theodor Meyer, which grew into Zuckerraffinerie Tangermünde Fr. KG of Krefeld, bought from Unilever in March 2005, Kalfany Süße Werbung of Herbolzheim, the Pulmoll cough-sweet maker Pulmoll-Kalfany of Müllheim, Importhaus Wilms/Impuls of Walluf, Bio-Zentrale Naturprodukte of Wittibreut, WELL PLUS TRADE of Hamburg, GAEA Products of Athens, the Irish chocolatier Lir Chocolates and the British firms Kinnerton Confectionery, Humdinger of Hull and The Sun Valley.^[2]
