Walkers Snack Foods Limited, trading as Walkers, is a British maker of potato crisps and snacks for Great Britain and Ireland; Wikipedia calls it the largest crisp manufacturer in Britain and its Leicester factory the largest crisp plant in the world.[1] Besides Walkers crisps it makes Quavers, Sensations, Wotsits, Monster Munch and Doritos.[1] Walkers packs name it as manufacturer, with a consumer-care address at PO Box 23, Leicester.[2]

The company was incorporated in England on 9 January 1989. It was named Precis (679) Limited at first, then Walkers Crisps Holdings Limited from 1992 and Walkers Smiths Snack Foods Limited from 1995, and took its present name in 1999; its registered office is in Reading.[3] Since the register began recording control in April 2016, its person with significant control has been Pepsico Holdings, which is in turn controlled by PepsiCo, Inc.[4][5] The company prefix 5000328 is inferred as its own: the named brands in the first 30 Open Food Facts records under 5000328 read on 2026-09-27 (Walkers, Doritos, Quavers, Wotsits, Frazzles, Sensations and Off The Eaten Path) are all Walkers-made lines.[6][1]
