Pepsi Lipton International (PLI) is the second ready-to-drink tea joint venture of PepsiCo and Unilever, formed in 2003 for markets outside the United States and extended to several large European markets in September 2007; each parent holds 50 per cent.[1] PepsiCo's Turkish beverages site credits the 2003 partnership with strengthening Lipton Ice Tea in Turkey.[2] It is distinct from the 1991 North American Pepsi/Lipton Tea Partnership.
