Nissin Foods Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese food company founded on 1 September 1948 by Momofuku Ando in Izumiotsu, Osaka, under the name Chuko Sosha; it became Nissin Food Products shortly after launching Chicken Ramen, the first marketed brand of instant noodles, in 1958.[1] The group owns Nissin Food Products, Nissin Chilled Foods, Nissin Frozen Foods and Myojo Foods, established a United States subsidiary in 1970 and sells Cup Noodles, Yakisoba U.F.O. and Demae Ramen.[1] Its Nissin-branded products are distributed in the United Kingdom by Premier Foods.[2]
