Nissin
brand
About
Nissin is the instant-noodle brand of the Japanese group Nissin Foods Holdings, which developed the world's first marketed brand of instant noodles, Chicken Ramen, and sells Cup Noodles, Yakisoba U.F.O. and Demae Ramen under the name.[1] The group was founded in 1948 by Momofuku Ando in Izumiotsu, Osaka, and renamed itself after the product shortly after Chicken Ramen appeared in 1958.[1] In the United Kingdom the brand is distributed by Premier Foods, which lists Nissin on its own brand page alongside the Batchelors and Sharwood's ranges it makes itself.[2]
