New Sensor Corporation was founded by Mike Matthews after Electro-Harmonix closed in 1984, first to resell Russian vacuum tubes and then to have new ones made under the Sovtek name; that business let Matthews buy back the Electro-Harmonix brand.[1] A 2017 Federal Trade Commission closing letter addresses it as New Sensor Corporation, doing business as Electro-Harmonix.[2] Amazon's item details name New Sensor as the manufacturer of Electro-Harmonix's 2880 Foot Controller.[3]
