About

MM Kwidzyn sp. z o.o. runs the integrated pulp and paper mill at ul. Lotnicza 1 in Kwidzyn, in the Pomeranian voivodeship of northern Poland.^[1] The site dates from 1972 and has belonged to MM Board & Paper since 2021; it works a fully integrated pulp mill and three machines, PM1 and PM2 at 200,000 t/y each for copy and offset paper and BM4 at 260,000 t/y for virgin-fibre cartonboard in grades GC1 and GC2, for a stated 660,000 t/y of board and paper and 80,000 t/y of NBSK pulp, and holds ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, 45001 and 50001 certificates with PEFC and FSC chains of custody.^[2] Its two uncoated fine paper machines make the POL office range, POLspeed, POLlux, POLjet and POLcopy^[3], whose technical cards are issued under the company's Kwidzyn address.^[4]

The court register lists KRS 0000292525, NIP 5810004587, REGON 002813078 and share capital of PLN 90,000,000 in 1,800,000 shares, all held by MM Board & Paper GmbH.^[1] The company was created by converting International Paper Kwidzyn S.A. (KRS 0000050456) into a limited company named International Paper - Kwidzyn sp. z o.o., resolved on 29 October 2007 and registered on 3 December 2007; the full extract shows the present name entered on 12 October 2021, the Austrian shareholder entered the same day as Mayr-Melnhof Cartonboard International GmbH and recorded under its new name MM Board & Paper GmbH on 6 December 2021, and International Paper (Poland) Holding sp. z o.o. as the holder before that.^[5] Mayr-Melnhof completed the EUR 670 million purchase of the mill on 11 August 2021 and renamed its MM Karton division MM Board & Paper; the announcement of that day counted four machines, two copy-paper machines of 410,000 t/y together and about 2,300 employees, where the maker's current page lists three machines.^[6]
