Hidden Beach Recordings is the American company behind the independent record label of the same name, founded in 1998 by the former Motown executive Steven McKeever, with Michael Jordan as an early investor.^[1] Its releases name it as Hidden Beach Recordings, LLC in their copyright and phonographic copyright notices, as on the 2004 US CD of Jill Scott's Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2.^[2] Discogs describes it as an independent US label distributed worldwide in partnership with Universal Music Group.^[3]
