Heineken UK Limited is the British brewing company of the Heineken group, registered in Edinburgh as SC065527 since 31 July 1978 and classified under SIC 11050, manufacture of beer.[1] It has carried five earlier names, among them Scottish Courage Limited and, from January 2006 to November 2009, Scottish & Newcastle UK Limited, so packs of that era name a brewer that is this same company.[1] Companies House records Heineken N.V. as a person with significant control since 6 April 2016.[2] Heineken bought the licence to produce Kronenbourg 1664 in the United Kingdom from Scottish and Newcastle in 2008 and brewed it at its Manchester brewery until the Carlsberg Group bought the licence back in 2023.[3]
