The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is an American multinational cosmetics company based in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, making and marketing makeup, skincare, perfume and hair care products; it began in 1946 when Estée Lauder and her husband Joseph started producing cosmetics in New York.[1] Its brands include La Mer, Jo Malone London, Clinique and Tom Ford Beauty.[1]
The company licensed the Tom Ford name for cosmetics and fragrance from 2006 and completed its USD 2.8 billion acquisition of the Tom Ford brand on 28 April 2023.[2]
