About EMI Music Group Australasia
EMI Music Group Australasia was the umbrella name of EMI Music's regional division for Australia and New Zealand, printed on releases from the early 1980s; Discogs describes it as a division rather than a record label.[1] Releases credited to it were sold in Australia and New Zealand only.[1] The operating companies within it were separate: in Australia a succession of EMI companies, ending with EMI Music Australia Pty Limited from around 1991 to 2013, and in New Zealand EMI's local company, which ran its own vinyl pressing plant until 1987.[1] The division is credited as manufacturer and distributor of Capitol's Australian CD single of Tom Cochrane's "No Regrets".[2]
