EMI Electrola GmbH was EMI's German record company, established in 1972 according to Discogs, whose "EMI Electrola" trademark it used on German pressings until 2002.^[1] German Wikipedia records that the Carl Lindström company was merged into EMI Electrola GmbH on 30 November 1972 and that EMI Electrola was renamed EMI Music Germany GmbH & Co. KG in spring 2002.^[2] North Data lists EMI Music Germany GmbH & Co. KG, formerly EMI Electrola GmbH & Co. KG, at the Cologne district court under HRA 15434 as dissolved; whether that partnership and the GmbH named in ℗ lines are one entity was not confirmed, so no register number is recorded here.^[3] EMI's German operations were sold to Universal Music Group in 2012.^[4]
