Cocio Chokolademælk A/S is the Danish company that makes Cocio chocolate milk. It is registered at Øresundsvej 15, 6715 Esbjerg N under CVR number 35712011 as an aktieselskab in dairy manufacturing, and the register names ARLA FOODS AMBA as its owner.[1] The business goes back further than the current registration: the brand was started in Esbjerg in 1951 by Anker Pallesen, Arla bought half of the company in 2002 and the whole of it with effect from 1 January 2008.[2][3] On the Danish list of dairy plants approved under Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 the company holds control number 4506 at the Øresundsvej address.[4] That number appears on the pack as the traceability mark DK-4506-EF, which is how a bottle can be traced back to the Esbjerg plant.[5] Arla says the drink is still produced at its own dedicated factory in Esbjerg.[3]
