Whiskas

About

Whiskas is a cat food brand sold internationally and owned by Mars Inc.; its packs are purple and its logo is a stylised cat's head.^[1] It began as Kal Kan near Los Angeles in 1936, was bought by Mars in 1968, entered the UK as Whiskas in 1958 and replaced the Kal Kan name in the United States in 1989; Kal Kan is still used in Japan.^[1] In Canada the brand's site is run by Mars Petcare.^[2]
