Vaseline is an American brand of petroleum jelly-based products, including plain petroleum jelly, skin creams, soaps, lotions, cleansers and deodorants, owned by the British multinational Unilever.[1] Robert Chesebrough first used the name in an 1872 US patent; his Chesebrough Manufacturing Company made Vaseline until it was bought by Unilever in 1987.[1]
