About The Right Stuff
The Right Stuff is an American reissue record label that was part of EMI and is based in Santa Monica, California; EMI's recorded music is now owned by Universal Music Group.[1] It released mainly classic rock and R&B repertoire as greatest hits collections, anthologies, boxed sets and compilations, drawn from EMI's own labels and from leased-in catalogues such as SOLAR, Philadelphia International, Hi, Tabu and Salsoul.[1] The label was started by former EMI and Capitol Records executive Tom Cartwright.[1] MusicBrainz lists it as a reissue production label owned by Capitol Records, Inc.[2]
