About Sparrow Records
Sparrow Records is a Christian music record label founded in 1976 by Billy Ray Hearn, then A&R director at Myrrh Records; Barry McGuire was its first signing.[1] Thorn EMI bought the label in 1992, and it is now part of the Capitol Christian Music Group, a division of Universal Music Group; its artists have included Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman and Switchfoot.[1]
