About Sony BMG
Sony BMG is the label logo printed on releases of Sony BMG Music Entertainment, the record company formed on 5 August 2004 as a 50/50 joint venture of Sony Music Entertainment and Bertelsmann Music Group.[1] Sony bought Bertelsmann's half in August 2008 and the company took back the name Sony Music Entertainment on 1 January 2009, after which the logo appears only on reissues that kept older artwork.[1]
