Aylmer

About

Aylmer is a Canadian brand of canned tomatoes, operated by Conagra Brands Canada; the company says most Aylmer tomatoes are grown in Ontario and go from field to can within 24 hours.^[1] The Aylmer tomato products belonged to Del Monte Canada until its sale to ConAgra Foods in March 2012, which also included a manufacturing plant in Dresden, Ontario.^[2] Whether the name refers to Aylmer, Ontario, or Aylmer, Quebec, is disputed, and the Elgin County archivist found nothing linking it to the Ontario town;^[3] cans print "since 1903".^[4]
