Archiv Produktion is a classical record label of German origin, founded in 1948 as a label of the Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft and established as a DGG subsidiary in 1958, specialising in early and Baroque music and later in historically informed performance.^[1] Its first head, from 1948 to 1957, was the musicologist Fred Hamel.^[1] MusicBrainz lists it as an imprint owned by Deutsche Grammophon, active since 1948, with label code LC 0113.^[2] Discogs keeps its releases under label 89289, among them Reinhard Goebel's recordings with Musica Antiqua Köln.^[3]
