About Appy

Appy is the apple drink brand Parle Agro launched in 1986, which the company calls India's first still apple drink and sells in 65 ml, 125 ml and 200 ml carton packs.[1] The brand name is what signs the front of the pack: the appy wordmark runs the length of the carton under the smaller company signature "Parlé Agro", with the descriptive line "The Still Apple Drink" beside it.[2] Cartons carrying the Export Inspection Council of India mark are made for export and print "Product of India".[3]

Appy is a separate brand from Appy Fizz, which Parle Agro launched in 2005 as a sparkling apple drink and sells in PET bottles and cans; the company keeps the two on separate brand pages of its own site.[4] Open Food Facts contributors often file Appy packs under the brand "Parle Agro", which is the company rather than the brand printed on the front.[5]
