About this product

The #1 Soprano Album is a two-CD compilation on the Decca label, released in 2002 with catalogue number 289 472 180-2.[1] Its 33 tracks gather opera arias and songs by sopranos and mezzo-sopranos including Renée Fleming, Joan Sutherland, Leontyne Price, Kiri Te Kanawa, Renata Tebaldi, Kathleen Battle, Teresa Berganza, Marilyn Horne and Birgit Nilsson, from "O mio babbino caro" to Wagner's "Mild und leise".[3] Discogs credits Universal Classics Group with the copyrights and says the discs were made in the USA by UML, Universal Music's plant in Grover, North Carolina.[1][4] MusicBrainz lists the same barcode as a 2002 Canadian release.[2]
