Nutrition Facts, net content and the front-of-pack calorie icon were read off the Open Food Facts uploads of this bottle (500 x 500 px, legible). The ingredient statement is not legible at that size and is taken from the USDA Branded Foods record, which Open Food Facts repeats word for word. Photographs uploaded 2026-01-12; the label revision they show is the one this entry describes.

About this product
Pepsi Cola in the two-litre bottle, 67.6 fl oz, is the standard large-format pack of PepsiCo's flagship cola in the United States.[2] The US label is registered to Pepsi-Cola North America Inc.[1] and declares carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, sugar, phosphoric acid, caffeine, citric acid and natural flavor, so the pack is sweetened with both corn syrup and sugar.[3] Its Nutrition Facts panel gives about six servings of 12 fl oz (360 ml) at 150 calories each, with 41 g of sugars per serving, all of them added.[4] The barcode has identified this article since at least 2007, when the first Barcodepedia recorded it as "Pepsi Cola, 2 Liter Bottle, 67.6 fl oz".[5]
More about this product
Pepsi was created in 1893 by the pharmacist Caleb Bradham in New Bern, North Carolina, sold first as Brad's Drink and renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898; the name was shortened to Pepsi in marketing from the 1950s.[2] It became the namesake of PepsiCo when the Pepsi-Cola Company merged with Frito-Lay in 1965.[6]

- Listing observed
USDA FoodData Central holds the US retail label for this GTIN (Label Insight record, market US, released 2026-04-30). US grocery listings that carry the barcode in their product URL (Price Rite, ShopRite, King Kullen, Fairway, Dollar General) all refused server-side retrieval with HTTP 403, so no dated price is recorded here.
A listing is evidence that this barcode is sold there, on that date; a price is what that listing showed, not a recommended price.

Coverage measures the evidence recorded here. It does not rate the product.
- Identity: 3 / 3 · Name, brand and classification recorded
- Context: 1 / 2 · Evidence groups assigned to a researched label, edition or analysis
- Label photographs: 0 / 1 · Researched contexts with an assigned photograph
- US label, 2 L blue bottle: nutrient evidence: 24 / 24 · Recorded nutrient rows linked to a source; not the number of nutrients that ought to exist
- ingredients · not_researched: The printed ingredient statement is not legible in the available photographs; the rows come from the USDA Branded Foods label transcription rather than from the pack itself.
- identity · unknown: No source states a country of origin for this pack and the bottling plant code is not legible in the photographs; US Pepsi is filled by regional bottlers, so no country_of_origin is recorded.
- markets · not_researched: Five US retailers list this GTIN in their product URLs but all refuse server-side retrieval (HTTP 403), so the entry carries no dated retail price.
- relationships · unknown: GS1 does not publish licensees and GLEIF holds no legal entity named Pepsi-Cola North America, so the prefix owner is derived from the brand owner USDA names, not from a register.
- schema · schema_gap: Review and assign legacy facts to coherent observations.
- ingredients · not_researched: Ingredient statement or sourced exemption not recorded.
- nutrition · not_researched: Nutrition declaration or exemption not recorded.
