About this product

The Digigram VXpocket v2 is a professional sound card for laptops in the Type II PC Card (PCMCIA) format, made by the French audio company Digigram.[2] Amazon.com lists it under UPC 000888877831.[1] The card has two balanced analog mono inputs at microphone or line level, two balanced analog outputs, a stereo S/PDIF input and output and an LTC (SMPTE) time-code input, brought out on a supplied breakout cable with XLR and phono connectors and a headphone mini-jack.[2] Its converters work at 24 bits, and Digigram supported it under Windows 2000 and XP, Mac OS 9 and X, and Linux.[2]

Digigram's June 2004 brochure presented the v2 alongside the four-channel VXpocket 440 as its two laptop cards.[2] The Linux kernel carries one driver for both models, written by Takashi Iwai in 2002.[3] The VXpocket 440 is listed at the US retailer 8th Street Music under the neighbouring UPC 000888877848.[4] Digigram's current sound-card range consists of its ALP cards and a breakout box, without the VXpocket.[5]

Coverage & research gaps (8)

Coverage measures the evidence recorded here. It does not rate the product.

  • Identity: 3 / 3 · Name, brand and classification recorded
  • Context: 1 / 1 · Evidence groups assigned to a researched label, edition or analysis
  • Label photographs: 0 / 1 · Researched contexts with an assigned photograph
  • Specifications: 2 / 21 · Recorded specifications mapped to comparable property keys
  • relationships · unknown: No source names the licensee of the barcode. The 0000888 block on Open Food Facts mixes unrelated brands (6 brand names among the 7 packs read on 2026-09-25), so no GS1 prefix owner is recorded; the sibling VXpocket 440 carries UPC 000888877848.
  • images · unknown: No licensed photograph of the card or its box.
  • packaging · unknown: Box contents and the manufacturer part number printed on the box are not confirmed from a pack photo.
  • markets · not_researched: Listings on European Amazon storefronts and at French retailers were not searched.
  • identity · unknown: Launch date of the v2 revision.
  • evidence · stale: Evidence was observed over a year ago; check for newer labels. Historical evidence remains valid.
  • images · not_researched: No product photographs recorded.
  • schema · schema_gap: Some specifications retain source labels without comparable property keys.
