About
Yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis) is a South American plant of the holly genus whose leaves are steeped to make the drink mate; both the plant and the drink contain caffeine.[1] Sambazon's Açaí Energy juice declares organic yerba mate on its label as one of the three sources of its caffeine, with green tea and guaraná.[2]
