Tartaric acid is a crystalline organic acid found naturally in grapes, tamarinds and other fruit, added to food as the antioxidant E334 and for its sour taste.^[1] Coca-Cola Deutschland declares it as Weinsäure, beside citric acid, in the German Sprite recipe.^[2]
