Stannous fluoride, tin(II) fluoride, is the inorganic compound SnF2, used as a fluoride source in toothpastes.[1] Sensodyne Repair and Protect declares it as its active ingredient at 0.454% (0.15% w/v fluoride ion), with the purposes anticavity and antihypersensitivity, and its Drug Facts note that products containing it may produce surface staining of the teeth.[2]
