Rosa canina fruit oil is the INCI name of rosehip oil, which the EU CosIng inventory describes as an oil from the dog rose, Rosa canina L. (Rosaceae), used as an emollient and skin-conditioning agent.[1] INCIDecoder notes that the oil is pressed from the seeds inside the hip, so the name is used for the same oil as rosa canina seed oil.[1] It is listed in the ingredient statement of the Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lipstick on Vaseline's UK product page.[2]
