Polysorbate 80 is a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier derived from polyethoxylated sorbitan and oleic acid, used in foods, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.[1] It appears on the Canadian Vlasic kosher dill pickle label as "polysorbate 80".[2]
