Nougat

About

Nougat is the whipped, aerated sugar centre of a filled chocolate bar. On the Ukrainian label of the Mars 70 g twin pack it is declared as a 32% component and broken down into sugar, glucose syrup, sunflower oil, fat-reduced cocoa powder, barley malt extract, dried egg white, salt and starch, so the nougat named there is not free from egg.[1] The European statement of the same bar calls the equivalent layer "Candy-Creme" and declares it at the same 32%.[2]
