Magnesium salts of fatty acids are the food additive E470b of the EU Union list of food additives, used as an anticaking agent and emulsifier.[1] Finnish and Swedish labels declare it by function and number, as "paakkuuntumisenestoainetta (E470b)" and "klumpförebyggande medel (E470b)".[2] The fatty acids may be of plant or animal origin, so vegan and vegetarian status depends on the source used and is left as maybe here.
